Stacey Solomon’s ‘gentle yet effective’ £18 K-beauty toning pads ‘make skin clear and smooth’
Stacey Solomon used her Medicube pore pads as part of her holiday skincare routine, and they’re a gentle but effective way of exfoliating your skin to leave it smooth and clear
Whilst summer might conjure up images of dewy, glowing skin, the reality is that sweat, regular SPF application, salt water and chlorine can all leave your pores clogged and your skin looking dull. However, Stacey Solomon has shared her holiday skincare routine with fans on Instagram, and it showed her using one Korean beauty staple that’s great for keeping skin clean and clear.
The Medicube Zero Pore Pads 2.0 have made a regular appearance in her holiday videos, and they’re a quick and effective way to exfoliate dead skin cells and unclog pores, whilst still being gentle on your skin. You can pick up the pads at SpaceNK for just £18 for 70 pads, so even if you use them every day you’ll get more than a month’s worth of pads for under £20.

Depending on your skin type and how sensitive it is, you may want to gradually increase them into your skincare routine as the Medicube Zero Pore Pads 2.0 contain 4.5% AHA lactic acid and 0.4% BHA salicylic acid which are active ingredients. Whilst they’re suitable for using on sensitive skin, it’s always good to not go too hard too fast with active ingredients to allow your skin to adjust to using them.
The Medicube Zero Pore Pads help to exfoliate dry, dead skin and reduce excess oil, as well as unblocking clogged pores to reduce breakouts and leave skin looking smoother and clearer. Each pad is dual-sided, so you use the textured side for a deep cleanse, then the silky side – which is infused with hyaluronic acid, allantoin and panthenol – to calm and smooth skin, leaving it feeling soft.
By coming in a pad form, they’re great for taking on holiday in your hand luggage and easy to quickly pick up and use during your skincare routine. Use them after cleansing but before your serums and moisturisers (without rinsing in between) to get the best results.
K beauty’s toning pads have been a game changer for skincare routines in recent years, and there’s several other ones to choose from. The Anua PDRN 100 Hyaluronic Acid Glow Pads are £22 for 60 pads, and contain a salmon DNA-derived compound (PDRN), peptides and hyaluronic acid to smooth and hydrate skin.
Alternatively, the Mediheal Madecassoside Blemish Pads are great if you struggle with breakouts and an uneven complexion, containing madecassoside and centella asiatica to soothe the skin and reduce dark spots for a more visibly balanced, dewy glow. They’re also great value, with 100 pads costing just £22 and gentle enough to be used morning and night.
However the Medicube Zero Pore Pads 2.0 are one of the best-loved pads around, with not only Stacey, but other celebs like Molly-Mae Hague a fan of them. They also currently have a five star rating on Space NK, with shoppers raving about how effective they are.
One said: “I really like these pore pads! They’re so easy to use and leave my skin feeling really clean, smooth and refreshed without making it feel stripped. I’ve noticed my skin looks a lot more refined afterwards, especially around my pores, and they’re great for getting rid of any excess oil and buildup. I also love that they’re quick and mess-free, so they’re really easy to add into my usual skincare routine. Definitely something I’d keep using!”
Another agreed: “Of course I was influenced like everyone to buy these and wow am I glad I did. I often use an exfoliator in my skin care routine but this has topped every exfoliator I’ve tried. It is so gentle yet effective, doesn’t irritate my skin and just works really well. The way this makes my skin clear and smooth is just amazing. Such good value for money and I will continue to repurchase these!”
