New study tracks gadget spending in Delaware

Bluetooth adapters are a convenient travel accessory that can also add wireless connectivity to older electronics.
You know them by their technical names: gizmos, do-hickeys, whatchamacallits, do-dads, that thing, or more specifically, gadgets.
Whether we see them on a social media ad, on Amazon or in a big-box electronics store, we’re always enticed to purchase something that, in some cases, we didn’t even know we needed.
Delaware is one of the top states for purchasing such items, according to a study by OurPCB, a printed circuit board manufacturer and electronic assembly specialist. Researchers compared monthly consumer electronics spending, Google searches for new gadgets and the annual value of electronics imports per resident.
Where does Delaware rank in gadget spending?
The First State was 11th overall with a Gadget Obsession Score of 74.03.
In Delaware, the average consumer spends $83.82 on electronics per month. In addition, Delaware has 3,873 new gadget searches on Google per 100,000 people, one of the highest search rates in the country. The First State also imports $701.92 worth of electronics per resident each year.
What is the top state for gadget spending?
Utah is the most gadget-obsessed state, scoring 99.31. The average consumer in Utah spends $196.41 per month. Nevada was second with a score of 91.06, and New Hampshire was third with a score of 89.88. Here are the top 10:
