Sturdy and soft. Doesn’t hurt my hips. It is awkward though having your weights on the side. Depending on the dumbbells you have, some will work better for this product than others. If you have bulky steel ones it may hurt if you have rubber ones like me I think you’ll be fine. I’ve also only tested up to 40lbs (2 20lbs dumbells) works great for now. Not sure how it would do with heavier weights. Also foldable and easy to store

I purchased this as an alternative to investing in a whole new system (the Booty by Bret hip thrust bar, weights and foam benches) and have used it a few times now with both dumbbells and kettlebells. I don’t like using my barbell and weight plates for hip thrusts at home, while I can certainly lift heavy, the set up and getting in and out, plus the length of the standard barbell makes doing them with that set up unappealing and uncomfortable. I have only used up to 35 pound kettle bells on either side but will try heavier weights once I finally invest in some. So far so good. I’ve been primarily using this to perform b-stance thrusts since the lighter weight is not challenging enough for me when doing a standard hip thrust. Will try adding a resistance band in the future as well to increase the difficulty, but this belt does exactly what I hoped it would, the Velcro is strong and seems durable. Very happy with this purchase!
